Terms of Service for ScreenPresent

Welcome to ScreenPresent. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ScreenPresent website at screenpresent.com, the presentation app at app.screenpresent.com, and related services, features, and content (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

ScreenPresent is a browser-based presentation service that lets you show supported presentation files on one screen and control them from another device, such as a phone. The core flow uses a QR code or manual session code and does not require installing a native app.

The Service currently includes a free trial experience and may include paid or invite-only Pro features, such as longer sessions, saved decks, PowerPoint conversion, presenter notes, audience/viewer links, custom branding, and presentation history.

2. Accounts, Pro Features, and Payments

You can try the basic ScreenPresent flow without creating an account. Some features may require a Pro code, account, subscription, payment, or other authorization.

Availability: Pro checkout and paid subscriptions may not be available at all times. If the site says checkout is coming soon or disabled, paid purchases are not currently being accepted through that page.
Billing: If paid subscriptions are offered, the price, billing period, renewal terms, and cancellation rules shown at checkout will apply.
Payment processing: Payments, when available, may be handled by a third-party payment processor such as Stripe. ScreenPresent does not store full payment card details.
Cancellation: If a recurring subscription is offered, you may cancel according to the instructions provided at purchase or in the Service. Unless required by law or stated otherwise at checkout, fees already paid for the current billing period are not automatically refundable.

3. User Responsibilities and Conduct

You are responsible for the files, slides, images, text, logos, and other content you upload, display, save, or share through the Service. You agree not to use the Service to:

Upload, display, save, or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, abusive, or infringes another person's rights.
Upload malware, attempt to exploit the Service, bypass security controls, overload systems, or interfere with other users.
Use the Service in a way that violates applicable laws, venue rules, school or workplace policies, or third-party platform terms.
Misrepresent your identity or your authorization to use, display, or distribute any content.

4. Presentation Content and Storage

You retain ownership of the presentation content you upload or save. By using the Service, you grant ScreenPresent a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, convert, store, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the Service.

Live sessions: Free or temporary presentation uploads are intended for live presentation sessions and may be deleted automatically after the session ends or after cleanup routines run.
Saved decks: If you intentionally save a deck or use a saved-deck/Pro library feature, that content is stored so you can reuse it later. Only save presentations you want available for future sessions.
Conversion: Some file types may be converted into images or other formats so they can be presented in the browser. Formatting may not always match the original file exactly.
Backups and logs: Operational backups, security logs, support records, or diagnostic metadata may persist for a limited time as described in our Privacy Policy or as needed to run the Service.

5. Privacy and Support Requests

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. If you contact support, we use the details you provide to respond to and manage your request. Do not include sensitive personal, financial, medical, or confidential information in support messages unless it is necessary for the issue.

6. Intellectual Property

ScreenPresent, including its name, logos, software, user interface, website design, documentation, and other Service materials, is owned by ScreenPresent or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service or permission to copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse it except as allowed by law.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party services for payment processing, file conversion, email delivery, spam protection, analytics, hosting, or other infrastructure. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. ScreenPresent is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

8. Availability, Changes, and Beta Features

The Service is provided on an evolving basis. Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed at any time. Some features may be experimental, invite-only, or unavailable while we prepare them for public launch. We may also impose usage limits to protect reliability, security, or fair use.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, remove content, or disable sessions if we believe these Terms have been violated, if required by law, or if needed to protect the Service, users, or third parties. You may stop using the Service at any time.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScreenPresent makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding availability, accuracy, security, compatibility, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScreenPresent will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost presentations, business interruption, or procurement of substitute services arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date on this page. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
