Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 17, 2026

ScreenPresent is designed to let you present from a browser without installing a native app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use screenpresent.com, app.screenpresent.com, and related ScreenPresent services (collectively, the "Service").

This policy is meant to describe the current Service, including the free trial flow, support requests, and Pro/saved-deck features that may be available now, in testing, or at launch.

1. Information You Provide

Depending on how you use ScreenPresent, you may provide:

2. Free Sessions and Temporary Uploads

Free presentation uploads are tied to a live session. You do not need an account to try the basic ScreenPresent flow. Temporary uploads may be stored briefly so the presentation can be shown, controlled, converted, and cleaned up. They may be deleted automatically after the session ends or after routine cleanup runs.

3. Pro Saved Decks

Saved decks are different from temporary uploads. If you intentionally save a presentation or use a Pro saved-deck library feature, the presentation is stored so you can reuse it later. Only save decks that you want to keep available for future sessions.

Saved decks may include converted slide images, presentation metadata, names, slide counts, speaker notes, custom branding assets, or other information needed to make the saved presentation work.

4. File Conversion and Processing

Some files may be converted into browser-friendly formats such as images. This processing is used to display slides, generate previews, support remotes/viewers, and make saved decks reusable. Conversion results may not always match the original file exactly.

5. Support Requests

If you contact support, we use the details you provide to respond to your request, troubleshoot the issue, and keep a record of the conversation. Support messages may be sent or delivered through email and support tooling. Please avoid including sensitive personal, financial, medical, or confidential information unless it is necessary for the support request.

6. Logs, Diagnostics, and Usage Data

We may collect operational information needed to run and protect the Service, such as IP address, browser/device type, timestamps, requested URLs, session identifiers, error logs, conversion status, security events, and basic usage or performance information. This helps us troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, monitor uptime, and improve reliability.

7. Cookies, Local Storage, and Consent

ScreenPresent uses cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar browser features only to make the Service work, remember your choices, and understand basic site usage when you allow it.

You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. If you block all storage, some features such as consent memory, live remote control, saved preferences, uploads, or support-form protection may not work correctly.

8. Spam Protection and Security

Support forms and public endpoints may use spam protection, rate limiting, CAPTCHA or reCAPTCHA, and other security checks. These services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser signals, and interaction data to determine whether a request appears legitimate.

9. Third-Party Services

ScreenPresent may use third-party providers for hosting, domain/DNS, email delivery, payment processing, file conversion, spam protection, analytics, monitoring, or other infrastructure. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us and may have their own privacy policies.

10. How We Use Information

We use information to:

11. How Long We Keep Information

Temporary presentation uploads are intended to be short-lived. Saved decks remain stored until they are removed, expire, or the related Pro/account access ends, depending on the feature. Support records, operational logs, backups, and security records may be retained for a reasonable period for support, reliability, legal, and abuse-prevention purposes.

12. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your presentation content. We may share information with service providers that help us run ScreenPresent, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

13. Your Choices

You can choose not to upload files or not to save decks. You can contact support to ask questions about your support request or saved content. If account or Pro management tools are available, use those tools to manage saved decks, billing, or subscription settings.

14. Children's Privacy

ScreenPresent is not intended to collect personal information from children without appropriate permission. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, please contact us so we can review it.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date on this page. Continued use of the Service after an update means the updated policy applies.

16. Contact

For privacy questions, please contact us through the support form.
